Ok,soo i have a yeast infection...i have this cream.but wen i put it on,it burns...is it supposed 2 burn?

Answer:
I HATE the creams, they always make me burn too. Burning is bad!! Go to the doctor and get some diflucan (they make a generic now too). It is an anti-fungal med that you take orally and it gets rid of the yeast infection in a day or two (takes a bit unfortunately). Anywho, burn bad, diflucan good!
First, where are you putting the cream and what kind of cream is it. It may be something as simple as user error. Suggestion: try Monistat they have an insert to place inside your vagina and a cream to place on your vulva to stop that uneasy feeling and itching. Also remember that its the summer!! Yeast infections are an increase in your regular GOOD bacteria. Your vagina is hot and moist and a breeding ground for yeast infections. Keep your kitty clean, dry, and cool.
Most vaginal yeast infection medication will cause increased burning and itching. If you read the package insert it will tell you this. It's perfectly normal.
I found the scented creams burned more. And, yeah, ouch.

A cream, however, is not enough. All it can do is treat any yeast outside your body and reduce the itching and irritation. You need an insert. Monistat or any other brand (including the store brands) all work fine. They come in pre-filled applicators, most often, as creams or in ovules (big pills that go in your vagina). Both are equally effective and as easy to use as tampons. You can get 7, 3, and 1 day treatments. All take about a week to work and are, again, equally effective. It's just a matter of expense and convenience as to which you buy.

It's always a good idea to wear a pad during treatment. The goop that goes in does come out.
