Okay help..?

Okay help..?
I have a big swim meet tomorrow and i just got my period. Would it be bad, if i have little flow to wear a pad before my races take it off during then put one back on? I CANT use a tampon. Ive tried and all it does is make me have an emotional breakdown and cry. I am only 13. Help plz! 鈾?!-- Question-to-best answer
Answer:
If you really feel you can't get out of it, and don't have a lot of flow, then you probably can get away with it. Have a trusted friend ready with a DARK colored towel when you get out, just to avoid any possible embarassment upon exit from the pool.

Keep trying with tampons. They are a swimmer's savior. Do you have a very close friend who could possibly help you with it (yeah, I know--really embarassing, but it is a thought). Or ask your doctor the next time you go.

Female swimmers get periods and you are not the first. Coaches know this. Ask your coach. If he/she tells you not to swim, life will go on.

If it were me, I'd sit this one out. Best of luck to you!
do what you said about the pad
well i suppose you could, but I would NOT reccomend it. Ask your mom or somebody close for advice, maybe have somebody explain tampons to you, it really isnt difficult if you know wht to do. Just don't go into the pool without anything, it is totally unsanitary
Yes! that sounds fine. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about the tampon thing. I hope you win!

GOOD LUCK!
YOU CANNOT wear a pad. Ask someone to help you with tampons and show you how to insert them. Let someone help you. Most likely you are trying to put them straight in and they need to be inserted on an angle towards the small of your back. If you are only 13 there will be tons more swim meets that you will be entered in and on your period so please have someone close help you with a tampon. Don't be embarassed to ask some even a coach if it is a female as they know what it is like to be a teen and have problems. We have all been in your shoes at some point in our life.
First i need to know why you cant wear a tampon is it a medical reason or is something your parents said you could not do.
i would do what you suggested because the movement will kind of stop the flow. b
like, when you take a bath or shower, it doesn't just keep on coming out but definately clean your swimsuit vigorously...lol
hope i helped!

As long as it is light, then go for it. Just don't tell anyone for the obvious reasons. The chlorine should kill any diseases or bacteria you may carry. Not saying you do, but you never know these days.
Tampons are great for swimming, that is like the #1 most appropriate time to wear one. I wouldn't go swimming without one even at a friends house, let alone a competition where everyone would be watching...

Are you sure the ones you've tried were lites/juniors? If not get some of them, they are very slim. Don't worry about your hymen most of them stretch quite a bit and even if it does break, who cares, they are way over rated, all they do is hurt and get in the way, and it doesn't have anything to do with losing your virginity. Tampons are one of the best things ever invented.

If you still struggle with a junior tampon, try using a finger first, that will give you a better idea of the exact location and angle. Also, be sure you put it in far enough, not putting it in far enough is the #1 mistake, and also be sure to get the string tucked in good.
