I have a big swim meet tomorrow and i just got my period. Would it be bad, if i have little flow to wear a pad before my races take it off during then put one back on? I CANT use a tampon. Ive tried and all it does is make me have an emotional breakdown and cry. I am only 13. Help plz! 鈾?!-- Question-to-best answer
Answer:
You're in a very difficult situation! Talk to your mother and ask her if there's a way to stop your period for one day (I doubt there's and you're too young)!

If you don't find any solutions I advice you to quit from the meeting!

*Sorry I can't help you out! Hope you the best!
i would say thats fine if your flow is lite.. if its not lite u need a tampon but if your putting the pad right back on after u get out of the pool i dont see a problem!
You can't use a pad. It won't do anything in the water, you'll just end up being embarressed. You have to either use a tampon or stay out of the water, sorry.
okay when ur in the water u dont bleed it happens to all women but as soon as u get out of the water go put a pad on okay
Have you tried those new "cups"?
Personally I think you should reassess using a tampon, they take time and practice, and all woman freak out when they start using them.
Just take your time to insert it, and sometimes it helps if you put on leg on the toilet, or even to squat while you insert it. Applicator tampons are a brillient way of starting... ask your mum to get you some!! You hardly have to do anything, just push the applicator...
You needs to take a few deep breaths, and just relax your pelvic muscles, because the more tense and upset you get the more likely you are of not getting it in... once you do you will realise how easy it really is!!!

Without being mean, think about it this way: would you want to swim in a pool where other girls have had their period and not worn anything? Its not a matter of catching anything, just hygiene more than anything!

Good luck, we have all been there!
just try the tampon again...but this time, don't panic or anything like that. make sure you are fully relaxed and in a calm mindset, cause if you start to worry about what you're doing then your vaginal muscles will become tense and tight and you won't be able to get the tampon in. remember, it's natural for things to be inserted into the vagina, that's why it is designed the way it is...
