Okay getting my period sucks. And, most girls don't like to talk about it but i don't mind, so open answers please. I got mine in 3rd grade and mine is heavy, with really bad cramps and headaches, and backaches. I get really short tempered. So what do you tell a guy when you have it %26 they want to do something active with you, but don't like talking about periods or never have talked about it with you. I can't say "i don't really feel like it right now " anymore. i've used that to much. Please help !
Answer:
Try to take a calcium supplement like viactive, I find that it really helps. Start Advil right as you start cramping, don't wait until you are really hurting to start. Keep on a "every 6 hour dose" schedule. Cramping alone can make you even more short tempered.
When someone asks you to do something when you don't feel like it, simply say, "sorry but I have other plans", which is not a lie because if you are like me, you plan to stay on the sofa watching the tele or playing on the computer with a heating pad taking the edge off. If it is your boyfriend, you are going to have to address it at some point. The best thing to do is just to say, "Sorry, it is not a good weekend for that. Buutttt. If you want to stay in and rub my feet and back, and bring me chocolate on demand, then sure" If he's not totally daft, he should catch on at some point.
If by "active" you mean sex, then you should be able to talk to him about it anyway. If you are that intimate, then talking about your period shouldn't be that big of a deal... if you find that you are not able to discuss it with someone you are having sex with, then you should not be having sex anyway!
two words, same here. lol, my boyfriend knows now about when I'm haven mine because we talked aout it, I didn't think he would want to and thought he'd be grossed out but I just gave him the option of talking about it and he could see I wanted to so we did for like an hour. We talk alot though, just say, "Listen, I'm on my period and I'm not in the mood right now okay?" he'll understand!
3rd grade!! Geez, that really sucks. I'm wondering how old you are now?
First thing I would suggest you do is start taking some type of ibuprofen about a week prior to your period. This may ease up on some of your symptoms that you are having.
As far as boys, try and stay away from them if possible when you are feeling this PMS. If not possible and you want to use excuses but you don't want them to know about your period because you just don't feel comfortable talking about it. Make up something really wild. Some suggestions: I have cousins or aunt's visiting that I need to spend time with. (usually boys get this and realize that you are on your period) Try saying that you have to spend the week preparing for exams or something clever.
Hope you have better luck with your period. You will find that it get's easier to talk about as you get older. Even better, it get's easier to talk about to strangers.
Another thing to look into is the type of sanitary products that you are using. I personally use a product called "Instead". You don't even know you are on your period most of the time. Check it out at the site below.
Good Luck girlfriend!
Say it is a bad day or you are having some problems
I think it depends on how well you know the guy.
If he's a boyfriend and you are sleeping with him, then I think you should tell him the truth. Anyone who is supposedly mature enough to have sex should be mature enough to handle bodily functions.
Anyone that you aren't really intimate with doesn't need to know. If you are invited to do something, couldn't you just say you already have plans? This method has the added bonus of giving the impression that you are a busy girl with a full life. Then, if you know when your period will be over, you could just suggest a plan for later on when it's gone.
I have the same 2 words 'same here'.My boyfriend knows when I'm on my period b/c i get very short tempered and I snap alot,we've discussed it though. He understands it well.Just try 2 make a joke about it at first and then just talk 2 him.
Just let him know you're on your period, and ask him very, very politely if he would give you a little space, because you love him, and don't want to hurt his feelings while your hormones are on the rampage, okay?
P.S. The 'because you love him' part is important, because it makes it seem like you want to be with him, you just can't at that particular moment.
It also makes him think you are considerate and respectful of his feeling, and he may appreciate you more.
No promises though.

One whole cup size smaller?
My right breast is an entire cup size smaller, what can I do about this? It is very noticeable when I wear tight shirts. Where can I buy a good insert?
Answer:
this is a pretty typical "issue" for women.
unfortunately, you cna't buy just one insert - they come in pairs.
try fredrick's of hollywood. they have great bras with inserts and sell silicone inserts as well.

One sore red pimple-like bump on vagina?
A sore (not that bad really.) red pimple-like bump, It's on the top just above the clitorous on the skin of the lip, I've had it for four days. It seems to be shrinking in size. Thanks for all those who answer.
Answer:
could be a pimple could be herpes, keep a watch for any new ones closer to the lips.
Most likely an ingrown hair (bodies are gross huh?)
It sounds like herpes.
If it's only one, it's probably an infected hair follicle. They can hurt like hell but usually go away on their own - talk to nurse or doc if it doesn't or spreads.
Did you recently shave the area? Regardless, it sounds like an ingrown hair. If it's shrinking, that's a good thing! It could also be a pimple, but it doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

One side of my lower pelvis is larger than the other?
By lower pelvis, I mean the part where your pube hair starts...kinda weird place, but one day I was freaking out about cancer and decided to feel some weird signs (didn't know what I was looking for) and well I sorta found out that my right lower pelvis is larger than the left. Please please please, I don't think I can get to a doctor unless it's absolutely crucial since my mom works full time, and my dad is barely home and I'm only 13. I don't have any pains or other symptoms that it's irregular, and you can't even see the difference, it's only when you press pretty hard that you can feel the difference between the two.
Answer:
I think you are just alright.. If you dont have any pain, you shuold be just fine! Any part of your body is bigger or smaller than the other, it just may not be noticeable. Not all body parts are identical sizes.. it's not possible!
I have one hip that is higher than the other.. Although common amoung women who have had kids, I've had it since i was young.
Unless you start getting very sick, or have trouble walking, you should be perfectly normal! You can ask your mom if you really are worried. She could take you in for a physical, just to make sure nothing else is wrong.
I think that one side of the body is always larger than the other.

One of the lips of my vagina is bigger than the other and a little swollen.help what is this?
Answer:
If they have always been like that, its normal.
Womens labia come in all different shapes and sizes, some being larger than the other side, each side being different, etc.
If its "new" to you, check with your Dr. There are a variety of infections and diseases that could cause this.
Best wishes!
It's normal, don worry. U hav been overactive it seems.
If it is painful, it could be Bartholyn cyst/abscess. then u need check up. Good luck!
You probably have a mild yeast infection. Or it may just be an allergic reaction to something. Go to the gyno so they can properly diagnose you.
In any case, drink plenty of water and at every meal take 2 spoons of Acidophilus (get it at a healthfood store).
maybe u nid to read anatomy book...its normal to have like dat..the outer aprt is labia majora and the inner part is labai minora...
Having just noticed it doesn't mean it's a new developement.
If you don't have discomfort than there isn't really anything to be worried about.
It's perfectly normal to not be semetrical.
One of the girls I babysit for has been on her period for about 10 weeks she is almost 12. Started at 9.?
We are waiting for her insurance card to arrive but in the mean time I am so worried for her that she will become anemic from loosing all of that blood for so long or that it will affect her when she gets older and wants children...
Answer:
As long as she has insurance she can be treated, all that would need to be known would be who her insurance company is. I would get her to like an urgent or immediate care center. That is a good place to start. Or even call one and see what they say, or call a local emergency room and see what they say.
She needs to be seen, and treated, that much blood loss isn't good. In the meantime, make sure she is eating and drinking well
TIP: Spinach is high in iron which is what you lose a lot of when you bleed.
Good Luck
take her to an emergency room the insurance can be billed later
You mean she has had her period for 10 weeks!!!!??? How can it be that long?? You mean to say she has been on it for 70 days?
take her to any emergency room asap, you can always retro bill the insurance later on. the most important thing is to make sure it is not something more serious than just an abnormal period, better to get it checked out now.
take her to the doctors... this is not normal at all, her future of having children may depend on it! go to a clinic if needed, where is her mother!
Have her parent or guardian take her to the emergency room. Emergency rooms cannot turn someone away just because they have no insurance. They have to provide treatment.
(minors must have parental or guardian written consent to accept treatment.)

One of my ovaries is bigger than the other!?
I was in the hospital the other day as I had to go to the gynae clinic for a check up because last month I had an infection in my womb..so i was obviously asked to go back just to have a check up and see that everything was ok. The gynaecologist gave me a scan..she showed me my womb and said that everything was fine then she moved to my ovaries and said that one of them was bigger than the other, but then she went on to say that this is ok and that its nothing to worry about. What do yous think?? She then went on to say that she wants me to go and have a smear test after i am finished my period(as I have my period at the moment)What does this mean? I have never went for a smear before. Is there something wrong with me?? Somebody please put my mind to rest.. Thank you!
Answer:
ok i dont think anything is wrong, doctors have no shame in telling you when to worry they do a great job at telling. no organs in your body are the same size, measure your ears, legs arms and fingers theyll never be the exact same length. nothing is perfect. doctors always give pap smears thats one of the random tests they do. just to make sure everything inside of you is ok, i had a pap smear when i had just lost my virginity and l was wondering why. its random, in my opinion as long as you arent bleeding in between periods you are perfectly fine.
Relax. A pap smear is a common thing. It's usually part of a regular check up expect when a period is happening.
Nobody's body is perfectly symmetrical. One foot could be bigger than the other. One breast can be bigger than the other. One ovary can be bigger than the other. It happens.
If she is telling you that it is o.k. I'm sure that is the truth. You should have a smear anyway to check for HPV, the cause of most cervical cancer. Once that is done you should go back for a smear every other year for a check. This is normal for all women. Ovaries are like other parts of your body. Maybe one breast is bigger, one ear or nostril bigger than the other. Nothing is perfect. By the way, the smear is just done in the office with you in the stirrups. She'll put in a speculum to open your vagina then swab the inside with a q-tip like thing or else a small brush is inserted into the opening of the cervex. The brush is sometimes a tiny bit uncomfortable but it only takes a second and then is over. Your results should be back within a week at the most. Good luck.
